Research Week 2008

The Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies and the Senate of College Councils are excited to announce Research Week 2008, a new university-wide celebration of undergraduate research and creative activity at UT Austin.

Research Week 2008 will occur during the week of April 14, 2008. The event unites into one week existing programs, events, and activities that showcase undergraduate research and creative activity. It also allows entities across campus to highlight the many research opportunities they make available to undergraduate students.

We invite you to be a part of Research Week 2008 by hosting your existing research-oriented programs (forums, poster presentations, award banquets, etc.) during this week and by participating in a campus-wide research bazaar, which will occur on Tuesday, April 15. Programs taking place during the week of April 14-18 will be publicized in all Research Week 2008 promotional materials.

If your college, department, research center, or student organization would like to participate in Research Week 2008, or if you would like to learn more about this new program, please visit the Research Week Web site at http://www.utexas.edu/ugs/ugr/research_week/.

With your help, this event will make research more accessible to undergraduates and demonstrate our collective commitment as Longhorns to learning, discovery, and innovation.
